Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

At The Counter Math Academy, we focus on personalized attention, interactive learning, and a fun, engaging environment. We use our unique THINKING CAP methodology, the Counter Point System, and tech-enhanced learning to make math enjoyable and effective for every student. Our approach is tailored to each student’s needs, whether they are struggling or aiming to excel, ensuring they reach their full potential.

We specialize in Primary School Math, catering to students from Primary 1 to Primary 6. Our classes are designed to meet the needs of both students who need extra support and those who wish to challenge themselves further.

We split our classes into two groups: one for weaker students who need extra support in grasping basic concepts and another for stronger students looking to push their limits. This allows us to provide personalized instruction tailored to each student’s level.

The Thinking Cap Strategy is a fun and effective way to help students focus on challenging problems. Students wear a real "Thinking Cap" when working on difficult tasks. This helps them concentrate and signals to others that they are deep in thought. Once the problem is solved, the student removes the cap—creating a routine that encourages concentration, discipline, and confidence.

The Counter Point System is a reward-based system where students earn points for various efforts, such as helping classmates, answering questions correctly, completing problems on time, or making an attempt even if they get it wrong. The system encourages teamwork, persistence, and continuous improvement.

Making Courses

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book.

There are many variations of passages of Lorem Ipsum available, but the majority have suffered alteration in some form, by injected humour, or randomised words which don't look even slightly believable.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using 'Content here, content here', making it look like readable English.
